Cleaning Your Spray Paint Stencil Cap

Cleaning Your Spray Paint Stencil Cap

Using the spray paint stencil cap in our store to achieve the details you want in your art is super amazing while you're in the midst of painting. But, after your done and the clean up session begins that is where it feels like washing dishes after a thanksgiving feast.

We made the stencil cap to made from resin that can withstand acetone chemical so that you are now able to soak your stencil cap overnight in-between and after painting sessions. Acetone is the best chemical for cleaning these caps because spray paint is a solvent based paint that is difficult to breakdown.

the soaking to remove paint can be as short as 5 minutes to begin to beak up harden paint buildup. Don't Not Soak Tools in acetone for more than 10 minutes. This can was leftover purposefully after a paint session and left to dry for a week. We then soaked it in acetone for 5 minutes to begin the cleaning session. with a plastic brush made of plastic bristles, we then started to clean the stencil cap over the course of 10 minutes. We periodically cleaned the acetone so that we were using fresh acetone and we quickly cleaned off the cap to be functional like new.

so there you have it. Although we made these stencil caps to be affordable enough so that artists can replace them easily, you can clean your stencil cap to elongate the lifespan for multiple projects and paint sessions.

Warning: Long exposure to acetone may warp and break your stencil cap. Please don't not soak tools for more than 10 minutes.
