Latest polytab Mural Process using layering

One of the best things about Polytab is its versatility and the creative freedom it offers. This latest mural uses Polytab in a way that’s similar to creating a collage, with multiple pieces coming together to form a single artwork.

This project was commissioned by the Urban Land Conservancy in Denver, Colorado, which recently purchased a building and renamed it in honor of the late Dr. Justina Ford. The mural was created for the building’s entrance lobby.

The mural was constructed from six separate pieces of Polytab—four background panels and two main panels featuring a portrait of Dr. Justina Ford alongside the individuals she cared for throughout her career.

Scrap pieces left over from cutting the Polytab were repurposed to fill tight areas around the wall, minimizing waste and creating a seamless installation.
