Care and Washing Coveralls
Care and Washing Coveralls
Best Washing Method for Coveralls with Iron-ons and Patches
1. Turn Inside Out
- This minimizes direct abrasion to the patches and iron-on designs during the wash cycle.
2. Use Cold Water
- Wash in cold water (30°C / 86°F or lower) to prevent heat from loosening the adhesive on iron-ons or weakening the stitching on patches.
3. Gentle Cycle
- Select the delicate or gentle cycle on your washing machine to reduce agitation.
4. Use Mild Detergent
- Avoid bleach or harsh detergents which can break down adhesives or fade artwork.
- Look for free & clear or gentle detergents.
5. Avoid Fabric Softener
- It can degrade adhesives and reduce the tackiness of heat-bonded patches.
What to Avoid
- No hot water
- No tumble drying (see below)
- No dry cleaning
- No scrubbing directly on patches or iron-ons
Â
Drying Tips
Best Practice:
- Air dry flat or hang on a line—inside out and out of direct sunlight to prevent fading or warping of graphics.
If Machine Drying:
- Only if necessary, tumble dry on low or no heat, but air drying is much safer.
Bonus Tips
- Patch lifting? Use a press cloth and iron to gently reseal an edge that may be peeling.
- Spot stains? Dab with cold water and a small amount of mild soap. Avoid scrubbing the artwork.
- Store folded or hanging in a cool, dry place to avoid wrinkling and degradation.

Return & Exchange Policy
We’re a small business 2-person operation so managing returns and exchanges is a bit more challenging for us at this stage. Because of that, we’re currently implementing a final sale policy on our coveralls. That means we’re unable to accept returns or exchanges at this time.
That said, this is just the beginning. As we grow and expand our coverall offerings, we fully intend to revisit this policy and provide more flexibility in the future.
In the meantime, your satisfaction is still incredibly important to us—and we’re doing everything we can to help you get the right fit the first time. That includes gathering detailed sizing info, offering fit recommendations, and making sure you feel confident in your purchase.
Here’s how we’re supporting you:
- We offer detailed size charts and fit guides to help you find your perfect match.
- You’re always welcome to reach out with sizing questions (iamdetour@gmail.com)—we’ll give you personalized guidance.
- If you’re located in the Denver area, you can book a fitting appointment to try on samples in person before placing an order.
We appreciate your understanding as we build this brand with intention. Your support allows us to keep creating high-quality, artist-inspired gear—and we can’t thank you enough for being part of that journey.
Canceling a Preorder
Canceling a Preorder
If you decide to cancel a preorder and request a refund for your pre-order coverall, we’re happy to honor that request. However, please note that a 5% service fee will be deducted from your refund total. This fee helps cover processing costs and adjustments to our production planning, as your pre-order has already been included in our manufacturing quantities. We appreciate your understanding as we work to produce high-quality gear in small, intentional batches.
